Products + Services: Since 1964

Our individualised care plans have been developed over many decades since our establishment in London in 1964. Our team keeps updated on innovation as it happens, constantly considering new ways of looking at hearing healthcare. Many patients have kindly said that there simply is nothing quite like our approach. We feel humbled and are always thrilled to hear about our patients’ progress. The feedback inspires us to keep evolving.

Hearing loss can have a significant impact on one’s life. To be able to hear and understand what others are saying, and to stay in the conversation, is core to human interaction. Being one of our six senses, hearing enables us to interact meaningfully. Without that ability, one can become isolated, withdrawn and reluctant to participate socially. Our audiologists at The Well Being BY CUBEX understand how profoundly hearing loss can affect an individual and their communication partners. We take time to have the conversation and understand our patients’ challenges. Time is key. Understanding cannot be rushed.

Our team of qualified audiologists and therapists will lead you through the testing and diagnosis process, and provide you with a care programme that will vastly improve your quality of life.

A Thorough Understanding of Our Patients

We start with a thorough understanding of a patient’s lived experience of their hearing impairment and a detailed perspective on how your situation is affecting important relationships. This is integral to our treatment protocol, which will of course also include a full audiological test.

If you are comfortable with the idea of assistive hearing technology as part of your hearing healthcare plan, we can offer  appropriate enhancement technology (formerly known as hearing aids), customised specifically for you, as part of a wider hearing healthcare plan. Gone are the days of large, conspicuous, awkward hearing aids. We work with researchers and world leading manufacturers of hearing technology who are constantly developing new technology that’s smaller, more efficient, more user-friendly and more reliable.

Our patients have access to the very latest in-ear designs and some  startlingly sophisticated hearing technology that can be customised to suit your needs. Advancements are happening at an unprecedented pace. Nowadays, for instance, being able to sync your hearing technology to your mobile phone is almost essential. You can tune into specific people in your family or office, to be sure you never lose the thread of conversations that are central to important relationships in your life. It’s the little details that make good communication effortless and the ‘soundtrack of life’ feel real and human. Technology is on our side in the 2020’s. And when we blend in elements of our CALM programme, you’ll find the circle starts to become complete. You will feel more engaged, less anxious and better able to manage in almost any situation.

If you feel you might be in need of hearing healthcare and a treatment plan, please contact us to make an appointment. Our team has the skills, experience and technology to help make a meaningful difference in your life. Technology aside, our approach to personalisation and the depth of detail we go into as regards your communication and relationships, your cognitive and emotional wellbeing, goes beyond conventional hearing healthcare treatment. Once we have examined your hearing and started implementing a personalised care programme, the benefits can feel life-changing.

Our Approach

We have developed and fine-tuned our approach over years, making it possible to identify and treat complex auditory issues, while addressing the nuances of communication that impact personal relationships. A quick summary of how we do this:

First we perform a visual examination of your ear, ear canal, and ear drum. This is followed by a pressure test of your middle ear and a pure tone test. The pure tone test will help us identify the type and degree of hearing loss you have. The pure tone test is the most common and is the standard hearing test.

The pure tone hearing test is a good start. However, it will not provide a clear picture of your ability to listen and understand speech. These are brain functions, and we test them using our functional brain hearing tests that will include speech discrimination in quiet and more complex sentences in background noise. The Well Being BY CUBEX is one of only a few audiology practices in the UK that routinely tests these abilities.
