Mindfulness & Wellbeing.

  • The CALM Programme

Diagnosing and treating hearing loss is only part of the complete package. Other kinds of ‘top-down’ complementary support are just as important. Beneficial to all who wish to elevate their wellbeing.

  • Corporate Wellbeing & Wellness

Contented, relaxed employees make a far better contribution to team dynamics. We help businesses to weigh in on the wellbeing of their people.

  • Meditation and Yoga

A wealth of evidence has shown that mindfulness, meditation, and yoga practice can influence cognitive function, immune response and even gene expression!

  • Meditation & Mindfulness with Jerusha

Director of Wellbeing, Jerusha Shulberg is also co-founder and co-director of our CALM Programme. Jerusha + her team offers a blend of complementary support - like nootropics, meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, yoga, cognitive training and more.

  • Art & Writing

Art, as self-expression, profoundly influences healing. Our salon is currently showing work by artist & British poet Mark Lawson Bell whose book and works are also available at our online shop.

Far More Than Just Clinical Treatment

We understand that successful, enduring patient care requires far more than just clinical treatment. Hearing loss can have a profound effect on mental wellbeing.

The inability to communicate properly often results in individuals retreating, becoming more introverted and feeling socially isolated. Diagnosing and treating hearing loss itself is a start, but this alone doesn’t represent a complete recovery. Our CALM programme has been developed to ensure that full recovery is achieved for our patients. Besides CALM, we have a variety of mindfulness and wellbeing support plans, as well as other courses and products useful not only as part of hearing treatment support but to anyone who wishes to proactively take wellbeing to the next level.

The ear perceives and senses sound which the brain then interprets and applies meaning to, turning sound into usable information. For patients with reduced hearing, hearing technology bridges the gap between the ears and the brain. We call this ‘bottom-up’ support. It does not however represent a complete solution for the patient. Managing how we, as individuals, engage with acoustic information received by our brain, is also part of the process. We call this ‘top-down’ support. Many different factors affect our ability to process acoustic information effectively. Our proprietary CALM Programme was developed to provide patients experiencing reduced hearing ability, tinnitus, balance disorders, anxiety and unhealthy levels of stress, with this ‘top-down’ support. CALM has benefits for everyone and it can be complemented by nutritional support - like our nootropics teas - as well as other wellbeing strategies curated by Jerusha Shulberg and her team at The Well Being BY CUBEX.

Successful, empathic patient care goes far beyond clinical treatment.
